Discussing the 7th Amendment in consumer and product safety at the Philip H. Corboy Lecture

90 current students, alumni, and friends of the law school attended the 18th Philip H. Corboy Lecture in Advocacy on November 11th, 2014. Held in the Power Rogers and Smith Ceremonial Courtroom, the lecture discussed the history and influence of the 7th amendment in current consumer and product safety. Michael Sennett (JD '77), currently works with Antitrust and Competition Law at Jones Day, a multinational law firm, and is an adjunct professor at Loyola University Chicago School of Law.  He is a partner in global antitrust practice and works with antitrust aspect of mergers, antitrust litigation, civil investigations and criminal investigations. Dean David Yellen and the African Union sign the milestone memorandum of understanding in Washington D.C.

Dean David Yellen and Professor Vincent Nmehielle, African Union legal counsel and Director of Legal Affairs, signed a milestone memorandum of understanding (MOU) at the AU Representational Mission to the United States in Washington, D.C on October 24th, 2014. Reinforcing Loyola’s commitment to justice and peace, the MOU provides African Union representatives with legal training and education in governance and rule of law through Loyola’s PROLAW program.
