Norah L. Jones (JD '06)
was named to the Rising Stars List by Illinois Super Lawyers magazine. Jones is an associate in the Tax-Exempt Organizations Group at Quarles & Brady LLP.
Maria T. Cenzon (JD ’96)
has been appointed Judge for the Superior Court of Guam. Prior to her appointment to the bench, Maria worked as chief legal counsel to the Governor of Guam Eddie Baza Calvo. For twelve years before joining government service, she was in private practice, concentrating on commercial transactions, insurance defense, real estate transactions, administrative law and procedures and complex civil litigation. Prior to becoming a judge, Maria served on the Board of Governors of the Guam Bar Association, as President of the Guam Legal Services Corporation and numerous memberships in other civic and non-profit organizations on Guam.
Gia Fonte Colunga (JD ’04)
has been elected partner at Freeborn & Peters. Gia focuses her practice on complex disputes, employment litigation, non-competition and trade secret matters, and product liability. She has extensive trial experience and has handled significant matters for clients in state and federal courts across the country, including large-scale discovery disputes, dispositive motion practice and appeals.
